Mrs. Young's Banana Salad


Ingredients

  • This makes 2 to 4 servings.
  •  
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 Tablespoon of flour
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 or 3 bananas
  • crushed peanuts

Directions

Stir the flour into the milk. Add the brown sugar, vanilla and egg. Cook until thick. When cooled, put the sauce over sliced bananas and top with the peanuts.



Notes

This was a favorite at picnics. Although it is called a salad it is sweet enough for desert.
