| GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE An update of the original French's French Fried Onions version |

| Directions Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large bowl combine the soup, milk, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. When well blended stir in the cheese, green beans and 2/3 cup of the onions. Spray a 2-quart casserole dish with cooking spray or grease it lightly. Pour the mixture into the casserole and bake for 30 to 40 minutes until it is hot and bubbling. Remove from oven and sprinkle the remaining 2/3 cup of onions over the top. Return it to the oven for 5 minutes so the onions can begin to brown a little. Serve hot or warm.

| Notes For the "right" texture don't use frozen or fresh green beans. Use good quality canned beans. Green Giant Cut Green Beans are my favorite for this. Frozen beans get too watery. Be sure to drain the beans well, at least 15 minutes. If you want the original Frenchs' Green Bean Casserole recipe, and lots more of their recipes, click on the picture above.
