DIRECTIONSMix the chicken broth, water, garlic, garlic powder, onion, chiles, and Adobo powder and simmer for 20 minutes. Add the tortilla chips (rinse the salt off under running water first if you wish) and simmer for another 10 minutes. Add the chicken and cook until heated through. Serve with your choice of garniches. Or all of them. |

NOTESIt's easy to let the soup get too salty, what with the salt in the chicken broth, corn chips and some commercial Adobo powders. Because I don't like a lot of salt in my food I use low-sodium chicken broth and I make my own salt-free Adobo spice mix. You can find the recipe by clicking here. |
